Storage and shipping
Store lyophilized material at 2-8 deg for up to 1 year. Reconstitute with 500 ul sterile distilled water, aliquot and store at -20 deg for up to 6 months, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Specificity and cross-reactivity
Rat, Human (recognizes an epitope localized in the lectin domain of rat surfactant protein D) ; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
Species reactivity
Reacts with alveolar type II cells, alveolar macrophages, types of Clara cells, SP-A+ and SP-A-, and extracellular deposits. Alveolar type III cells are negative. No reaction on Rat (Rattus norvegicus) skin, colon, kidney or liver. SP-A cross reacitivity is typically evident; Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.
