Storage and shipping
Store the antibody at +4C. Temperature variations in the range of 1 to 7 degrees Celsius are tolerable. We recommend NOT to freeze the antibody. Antibody is stable for 24 months.
Species reactivity
Human (Homo sapiens).; Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.
Specificity and cross-reactivity
This MAb reacts with a protein of ~13kDa, identified as alpha sub-unit of HCG. HCG is a glycoprotein, which is secreted in large quantities by normal trophoblasts. It is present only in trace amounts in non-pregnant urine and sera but rises sharply during pregnancy. HCG is composed of two non-identical, non-covalently linked polypeptide chains designated as the alpha and beta subunits. The alpha subunit is identical to that of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), and luteinizing hormone (LH).; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
