Species reactivity
Rat (Rattus norvegicus); Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.
Other names
neurofilament medium polypeptide; Neurofilament medium polypeptide; neurofilament medium polypeptide; neurofilament-M; OTTMUSP00000017611; neurofilament 3, medium; neurofilament protein M; 160 kDa neurofilament protein; neurofilament triplet M protein; neurofilament, medium polypeptide; 160 kDa neurofilament protein; Neurofilament 3; Neurofilament triplet M protein
Storage and shipping
Store the antibody at +4 degrees Celsius for short term storage.. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add glycerol (40-50%)aliquot and For optimal long term storage, the antibody should be kept at -20 degrees Celsius. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months the antibody should be stored at -20 degrees Celsius.. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Specificity and cross-reactivity
The epitope is localized to within the last 56 amino acids at the extreme C-terminus of rat NF-M, the so-called KE segment which is highly conserved between NF-M molecules from different species. Recognizes intact NF-M strongly and specifically on Western Blots in all mammals and birds tested to date and also binds NF-M in cells in tissue culture and in sectioned material.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
