Recognizes the 85kD b-chain of human CD91 (LRP/a2MR expressed in a restricted spectrum of cell types. Immunohistochemical reaction is seen in hepatocytes, tissue macrophages, subsets of neurons and astrocytes in the central nervous system, fibroblasts, smooth muscle cells and monocyte-derived foam cells in atherosclerotic lesions in the arterial wall. Species Crossreactivity: rabbit, rat, hamster and mouse.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
