Description
The Actin, alpha, Smooth muscle is a α- or alpha protein sometimes glycoprotein present in blood.
Form/Appearance
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, and 1% BSA with 0.1% sodium azide before the addition of glycerol to 40%.
Species reactivity
Human (Homo sapiens), Mammal; Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.
Other names
actin, alpha 2, smooth muscle, aorta, isoform CRA_a; Actin, aortic smooth muscle; actin, aortic smooth muscle; alpha-cardiac actin; cell growth-inhibiting gene 46 protein; actin, alpha 2, smooth muscle, aorta; Alpha-actin-2; Cell growth-inhibiting gene 46 protein
Specificity and cross-reactivity
Recognizes alpha isoform of smooth muscle actin. Does not cross react with skeletal or cardiac muscle actin, mesenchymal cells, epithelial cells, or other cytoskeletal components. Reacts with smooth muscle actin.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
Storage and shipping
Store the antibody at +4 degrees Celsius for short term storage.. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze the antibody should be stored at -20 degrees Celsius.. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months the antibody should be stored at -20 degrees Celsius.. Prior to use, briefly centrifuge the original vial after thawing and before lid. If further dilution(s) are needed, they can be done with the appropriate assay buffer.
