Recognizes activated Raf-1, binding to the phosphorylated serine residue at position 338.The antibody binds to Raf-1 that has been activated by Ras or Src, but not to unactivated Raf-1. The antibody does not bind to Raf peptides phosphorylated at other sites, including Y341 and S339. May be used for Western blotting detection of activated Raf-1 as described by Mason et al. (1999).; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
