Other names
ALG6, alpha-1,3-glucosyltransferase; N/A; ALG6, alpha-1,3-glucosyltransferase; asparagine-linked glycosylation 6, alpha-1,3-glucosyltransferase homolog; ALG6, alpha-1,3-glucosyltransferase; N/A
Specificity and cross-reactivity
Recognizes human ALG6.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
Description
The ALG6 (Dolichyl Pyrophosphate Man9GlcNAc2 alpha-1,3-glucosyltransferase, Asparagine-linked Glycosylation Protein 6 Homolog, Dol-P-Glc:Man(9)GlcNAc(2)-PP-Dol alpha-1,3-glucosyltransferase, Dolichyl-P-Glc:Man9GlcNAc2-PP-dolichyl Glucosyltransferase, My046) is a α- or alpha protein sometimes glycoprotein present in blood.
Storage and shipping
Store the antibody at +4 degrees Celsius for short term storage.. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. For optimal long term storage, the antibody should be kept at -20 degrees Celsius. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Test
Glycosylation (see also chemical glycosylation) is the reaction in which a carbohydrate, i.e. a glycosylic donor, is attached to a hydroxyl or other functional group of another molecule (a glycosylic acceptor). In biology glycosylation mainly refers in particular to the enzymatic process that attaches glycans to proteins, lipids, or other organic molecules
