Properties
If you buy Antibodies supplied by MBS Monoclonals they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
Description
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.Isotype or positive controls by peptides, antibodies and deactivated samples.
Specificity and cross-reactivity
Recognizes native and denatured forms of beta-Actin (~42kDa); Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
About
Monoclonals of this antigen are available in different clones. Each murine monoclonal anibody has his own affinity specific for the clone. Mouse monoclonal antibodies are purified protein A or G and can be conjugated to FITC for flow cytometry or FACS and can be of different isotypes.
Storage and shipping
Store the antibody should be stored at -20 degrees Celsius. for 2 years or more. Centrifuge after first thaw to maximize product recovery. Aliquot to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Store aliquots at Store the antibody at +4 degrees Celsius. (add 0.05% NaN3 if not included) for several days to weeks
Species reactivity
beta-Actin from Human (Homo sapiens), Mouse (Mus musculus), Rat (Rattus norvegicus), Rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus), and chicken. beta-Actin from other species may also be detectable; Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.
