CD59 CD59 is an 18-20kD GPI anchored single chain glycoprotein, expressed by virtually all cell types, including leucocytes, platelets and erythrocytes. The antigen binds to C8 and C9 and inhibits assembly of the complement membrane attack complex.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited.
