This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.

Store the antibody at +4 degrees Celsius for short-term storage and at -20 degrees Celsius for long-term.Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. the antibody should be stored undiluted. Repeated freeze - thaw cycles may denature the peptide chains of the antibody and therefore should be maximally avoided. SYNAPTOPHYSIN This item is specific for Synaptophysin, a glycoprotein located in the membrane of synaptic vesicles that is ubiquitously expressed in all neurons. It is widely used as a marker for nerve terminals and for differentiating neuroendocrine tumours. This antibody has been used to detect the following neuronal and adrenal tumours: pheochromocytomas, paragangliomas, neuroblastomas, ganglioneuroblastomas; neuroendocrine tumours of epithelial origin; pancreatic islet cell carcinoma, bronchial and gastrointestinal carcinoids and medullary carcinoma of the thyroid.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
