CD11b This item recognises the human CD11b cell surface antigen, also known as the alphaM integrin. CD11b forms a heterodimer with CD18 and is expressed by circulating monocytes, granulocytes and also by dendritic reticulum cells in lymphoid tissue. Expression is increased on activated granulocytes. The CD11b molecule is the receptor for C3bi, fibrinogen and clotting factor X. Clone ICRF44 has been reported to have various functional effects on monocytes, blocking adhesion and stimulating cytokine and chemokine release.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited.
