ACTIVIN Beta This item is specific for the BetaC-subunit of Activin (BetaC-activin), a member of the transforming growth factor beta (TGF-beta) superfamily and one of a group of proteins which regulate growth and differentiation in a range of cells and tissues, via both autocrine and paracrine pathways. _x000D__x000D_Activins were originally characterised by the formation of specific homo- and heterodimers of activin BetaA- or BetaB-subunits, but additional subunits of activin have since been identified including BetaC, BetaD and BetaE.
