Repeated freeze - thaw cycles may denature the peptide chains of the antibody and therefore should be maximally avoided. BU-1A This item recognises the 'a' allele of the polymorphic cell surface antigen Bu-1. Bu-1a is a 70kD alloantigen expressed on B cells and a subset of macrophages. Reports suggest that Bu-1 is expressed on B cell precursors at early stages of development. Weak cross-reactivity with Bu-1b may be seen at higher antibody levels. This may be removed by appropriate titration.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
