LYMPHOCYTES This item reacts with an antigen on the majority of T and B lymphocytes and thymocytes, although the antigen is not expressed by germinal centre cells of the lymph node MSgp2 reacts strongly with epidermal Langerhans cells, giving a superior profile than anti-MHC Class II antibodies on these cells MSgp2 has the same distribution as monoclonal antibody CT4 which detects an antigen reportedly involved in the organ non-specific trafficing of guinea pig lymphocytes,. However, unlike CT4, MSgp2 does not functionally inhibit lymphocyte adherence to high endothelial venules in vitro; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
