Properties
If you buy Antibodies supplied by MBS Monoclonals they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
Species reactivity
Mouse (Mus musculus); Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.
Description
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided. This is against a protein of mus musculus directed antibody.
About
Rats are used to make rat monoclonal anti mouse antibodies. There are less rat- than mouse clones however. Rats genes from rodents of the genus Rattus norvegicus are often studied in vivo as a model of human genes in Sprague-Dawley or Wistar rats.
Other names
natural cytotoxicity triggering receptor 1; Natural cytotoxicity triggering receptor 1; natural cytotoxicity triggering receptor 1; mAR-1; NK-p46; mNKp46; activating receptor 1; lymphocyte antigen 94; MAR1 (mouse activating receptor 1); natural killer cell p46-related protein; natural cytotoxicity triggering receptor 1; Activating receptor 1; mAR-1; Lymphocyte antigen 94; Natural killer cell p46-related protein
Test
Mouse or mice from the Mus musculus species are used for production of mouse monoclonal antibodies or mabs and as research model for humans in your lab. Mouse are mature after 40 days for females and 55 days for males. The female mice are pregnant only 20 days and can give birth to 10 litters of 6-8 mice a year. Transgenic, knock-out, congenic and inbread strains are known for C57BL/6, A/J, BALB/c, SCID while the CD-1 is outbred as strain.
Storage and shipping
Keep the antibody refrigerated at +4 degrees Celsius. Temperature variations in the range between +1C to +7C are tolerable. DO NOT FREEZE. the antibody should be stored undiluted. the antibody is photosensitive and should be protected from light. Repeated freeze - thaw cycles may denature the peptide chains of the antibody and therefore should be maximally avoided. If there is a precipitate in the vial we recommend you to briefly microcentrifugate it prior to use. Shelf Life: 12 months from date of dispatch.
Specificity and cross-reactivity
CD335 Clone 29A1.4 recognises mouse CD335, uniquely expressed by resting and activated natural killer (NK) cells. It is a major NK cell lysis receptor for autologous pathogen-infected and tumour target cells during natural cytotoxicity responses. Ligands of CD335 include viral haemagglutinins (HAs) and heparan sulphate proteoglycans (HSPGs) on the surface of tumour cells. _x000D_Staining with clone 29A1.4 is not strain specific and the antibody has been used to stain C57BL/6, SJL, CBA/CA and BALB/c strains. This clone also activates NK cells in vitro. It does not deplete NK cells in vivo.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
