This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.

Repeated freeze - thaw cycles may denature the peptide chains of the antibody and therefore should be maximally avoided. BETA GALACTOSIDASE Clone 2E9 reacts with beta-galactosidase from E. coli and Aspergillus oryzae. Less than 10% reactivity is observed with galactosidase from bovine liver. This antibody does not influence enzyme activity. Beta-galactosidase is an enzyme that acts to catalyse the hydrolysis of beta-galactosides into monosaccharides. Beta-galactosidase is a homo-tetrameric protein, containing four identical sub-units of approximately 116 kDa each. The enzyme is commonly used as a reporter gene in molecular biology to determine the success of transfections.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
