Immunohistochemistry (IHC - Paraffin), Western Blot (WB), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
Storage and shipping
For long term storage, keep the antibody at -20 degrees Celsius. Short term storage of the antibody can be done at +4 degrees Celsius. Cycles of freezing/defrosting can damage the peptide chains of the antibodies thus reducing the activity.
About
Monoclonals of this antigen are available in different clones. Each murine monoclonal anibody has his own affinity specific for the clone. Mouse monoclonal antibodies are purified protein A or G and can be conjugated to FITC for flow cytometry or FACS and can be of different isotypes.
Specificity and cross-reactivity
A synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 526-539 of human NF-kB (p65) protein. It will cross-react with mouse NF-kB p65.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
Species reactivity
Gibbon, Bovine, Chimpanzee, Dog, Gorilla, Human (Homo sapiens), Monkey, Mouse (Mus musculus), Orangutan, Pig Predicted Reactivity: Bat, Horse (at least 90% immunogen sequence identity); Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.
Other names
transcription factor p65 isoform 1; Transcription factor p65; transcription factor p65; NF-kappa-B p65delta3; nuclear factor NF-kappa-B p65 subunit; v-rel reticuloendotheliosis viral oncogene homolog A; nuclear factor of kappa light polypeptide gene enhancer in B-cells 3; v-rel avian reticuloendotheliosis viral oncogene homolog A; Nuclear factor NF-kappa-B p65 subunit; Nuclear factor of kappa light polypeptide gene enhancer in B-cells 3
Test
Mouse or mice from the Mus musculus species are used for production of mouse monoclonal antibodies or mabs and as research model for humans in your lab. Mouse are mature after 40 days for females and 55 days for males. The female mice are pregnant only 20 days and can give birth to 10 litters of 6-8 mice a year. Transgenic, knock-out, congenic and inbread strains are known for C57BL/6, A/J, BALB/c, SCID while the CD-1 is outbred as strain.
Properties
If you buy Antibodies supplied by MBS Monoclonals they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.Human proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.
Gene
NF-κB (nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells) is a protein complex that controls transcription of DNA, cytokine production and cell survival. NF-κB is found in almost all animal cell types and is involved in cellular responses to stimuli such as stress, cytokines, free radicals, ultraviolet irradiation, oxidized LDL, and bacterial or viral antigens. NF-κB plays a key role in regulating the immune response to infection (κ light chains are critical components of immunoglobulins). Incorrect regulation of NF-κB has been linked to cancer, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, septic shock, viral infection, and improper immune development. NF-κB has also been implicated in processes of synaptic plasticity and memory
