Other names
CD4; CD4 protein; T-cell surface glycoprotein CD4; CD4 receptor; CD4 antigen (p55); OTTHUMP00000238897; T-cell surface antigen T4/Leu-3; CD4 molecule; N/A
Species reactivity
Human (Homo sapiens); Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.
Description
CD4+ T helper cell marker or cluster differentiator of white blood cells in FACS or flow cytometry. Used offer coupled to magnetic beads. GENTAUR makes custom magnetic bead couplings on 50 and 250 nm beads for certain clones.
Storage and shipping
Store lyophilized product at 2 to 8 degree C. After reconstitution aliquot and For optimal long term storage, the antibody should be kept at -20 degrees Celsius. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. The addition of 0.1% (w/v) sodium azide is recommended for storage of the reconstituted form for up to one month at 2
Specificity and cross-reactivity
CD4 Reacts with CD4 antigen. Has been assigned to the CD4 cluster of differentiation at the 3rd International Workshop in Boston (1986). The CD4 antigen is present on approximately 45% of peripheral blood lymphocytes (T4 lymphocytes), 80% of thymocytes; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
