Properties
If you buy Antibodies supplied by MBS Monoclonals they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
Storage and shipping
Store the antibody at +4C. Temperature variations in the range of 1 to 7 degrees Celsius are tolerable. We recommend NOT to freeze the antibody. Antibody is stable for 24 months.
Species reactivity
Human (Homo sapiens), Monkey, Dog, Mouse (Mus musculus), Rat (Rattus norvegicus), Hamster.; Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.

Specificity and cross-reactivity
Recognizes a conserved determinant of the p53 protein. Its epitope maps near the C-terminus end (aa 370-378) of p53. It has been used successfully to immunoprecipitate p53 oncoprotein complexes with simian virus 40 (SV40) large T antigen. Reportedly, this antibody precipitated the most ATPase-active form of T. p53 is a tumor suppressor gene expressed in a wide variety of tissue types and is involved in regulating cell growth, replication, and apoptosis. It binds to MDM2, SV40 T antigen and human papilloma virus E6 protein. Mutations involving p53 are found in a wide variety of malignant tumors, including breast, ovarian, bladder, colon, lung, and melanoma.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
