Store the antibody at +4 degrees Celsius for short term storage.. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. For optimal long term storage, the antibody should be kept at -20 degrees Celsius. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Recognizes human integrin alphaVbeta5. Does not recognize integrin alphaVbeta3 or alpha5beta1. Binds to the alphaVbeta5 complex. Has a Kd of 2.8 nM in Mn2+, 4.0 nM in Ca2+and 2.9 nM in buffer lacking cation. Thus, cations do not significantly affect the binding to alphaVbeta5. Does not block ligand binding to purified alphaVbeta5, nor does it block cell adhesion mediated through this receptor.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
