Storage and shipping
Store the antibody at +4 degrees Celsius for short term storage.. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and For optimal long term storage, the antibody should be kept at -20 degrees Celsius. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months the antibody should be stored at -20 degrees Celsius.. Prior to use, briefly centrifuge the original vial after thawing and before lid. If further dilution(s) are needed, they can be done with the appropriate assay buffer.
Specificity and cross-reactivity
Can be used to specifically detect both the unmodified (~ 70kD) form and the GMP1 (SUMO-1) conjugated (~90kD) form of the RanGAP-1 protein. The ~70kD form of RanGAP-1 is cytoplasmic, whereas the ~90kD form is associated predominately with the nuclear envelope where it is localized to the nuclear pore complexes (NPCs). Species crossreactivity; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
