Store the antibody at +4 degrees Celsius for short term storage.. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and For optimal long term storage, the antibody should be kept at -20 degrees Celsius. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months the antibody should be stored at -20 degrees Celsius.. Highly specific to MAP2a,b,c and shows no crossreactivity with other MAPs, tau and tubulin. Recognizes MAP2a and MAP2b (~280kDa doublet) and MAP2c (70kDa). Its epitope maps in the first 151 amino acids of MAP2. Reacts with dendrites and cell bodies of neurons. Species Crossreactivity: Human, bovine, rat, Xenopus and quail.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
