Histone specific, reacting preferentially with histone H1, a nuclear protein necessary for the condensation of nucleosome chains into higher order structures. This antibody stains nuclei of all human cell types and also stains chromosomes diffusely in metaphase cells. Intense diffuse staining is obtained in interphase cells.Species crossreactivity: rat.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
