Recognizes activated Raf-1, binding to the phosphorylated serine residue at position 338.The antibody binds to Raf-1 that has been activated by Ras or Src, but not to unactivated Raf-1. The antibody does not bind to Raf peptides phosphorylated at other sites, including Y341 and S339. May be used for Western blotting detection of activated Raf-1 as described by Mason et al. (1999).; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited.
