Test
MBS Monoclonals supplies antibodies that are for research of human proteins.
Tested applications:
Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry (Frozen sections), Immunoprecipitation, ELISA, Blocking studies
Description
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
Species reactivity
Human (Homo sapiens); Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.
About
Rats are used to make rat monoclonal anti mouse antibodies. There are less rat- than mouse clones however. Rats genes from rodents of the genus Rattus norvegicus are often studied in vivo as a model of human genes in Sprague-Dawley or Wistar rats.
Storage and shipping
The purified antibody (UNLB) is supplied as 0.05mg purified immunoglobulin in 0.2mL of phosphate buffered saline containing 0.1% PBS/NaN3. Store the antibody ats should be kept in the range of 1-7 degrees Celsius.. The antibody is stable for the period shown on the label if stored as directed.
Properties
Human proteins, cDNA and human recombinants are used in human reactive ELISA kits and to produce anti-human mono and polyclonal antibodies. Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.
Specificity and cross-reactivity
Human CD104 CD104 is the 210 kDa integrin beta4 subunit which forms a heterodimer with the integrin alpha6 subunit (CD49f) that is expressed on the hemidesmosomes of stratified epithelia, and on simple epithelia and Schwann cells. Hemidesmosomal CD49f/CD104 (alpha6beta4) plays an important role in the adhesion of epithelia to basement membranes, via interactions with laminin and/or kalinin anchoring filaments.1-4; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
