This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.

alpha subunit (Mr 180 kDa) of LFA-1 The monoclonal antibody I21/7 reacts with the alpha subunit of mouse CD11a, also known as Leukocyte Function-associated Antigen-1 (LFA-1) and a member of the integrin family of cell adhesion molecules.^1, 2 The antigen is expressed on thymocytes, T and B lymphocytes, and on non-lymphoid cells in the bone marrow. ^2 CD11a appears to be an essential component for T-cell activation by antigen-presenting cells and is important for cell-mediated killing. Co-stimulatory signaling by LFA-1 is achieved by pairing with its ligand, CD54/ICAM-1. ^1, 2; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.

The purified (UNLB) antibody is supplied as 0.5 mg of purified immunoglobulin in 1.0 mL of 100 mM borate buffered saline, pH 8.2. No preservatives or amine-containing buffer salts added.
