Store the antibody at +4C. Temperature variations in the range of 1 to 7 degrees Celsius are tolerable. We recommend NOT to freeze the antibody. Antibody is stable for 24 months.
Species reactivity
Human (Homo sapiens). Does not react with Rat (Rattus norvegicus).; Due to limited knowledge and inability for testing each and every species, the reactivity of the antibody may extend to other species which are not listed hereby.

Specificity and cross-reactivity
Binding epitope of this antibody is located in the first EGF-like repeat domain (EGF1) between amino acids 27-59 of Ep-CAM. EGP40 is a 40-43kDa transmembrane epithelial glycoprotein, also identified as epithelial specific antigen (ESA), or epithelial cellular adhesion molecule (Ep-CAM). It is expressed on baso-lateral cell surface in most simple epithelia and a vast majority of carcinomas. This antibody has been used to distinguish adenocarcinoma from pleural mesothelioma and hepatocellular carcinoma. This antibody is also useful in distinguishing serous carcinomas of the ovary from mesothelioma.; Since it is not possible to test each and every species our knowledge on the corss reactivity of the antibodies is limited. This particular antibody might cross react with speacies outside of the listed ones.
